High Energy Spark Igniters

The Faber TYPE HA-HESI 12 Joule High Energy Spark Igniter System is a non-fouling, high energy device (NFPA class 3 special igniter) designed to directly ignite all liquid and gaseous fuels including bunker C. With its built in design characteristics, both fouling and blowing out are impossible. Applications include ovens, flares, incinerators, kilns, gas burners, oil burners and turbines (marine and gas).

  • The Faber TYPE HA-HESI High Energy Spark Igniter has proven to be a superior substitute for:

    • #2 Oil Igniters through lowered maintenance
    • Gas Igniters through lower installation costs
    • Hand Torches by a safer and more reliable source of ignition

    OPERATION:
The Faber TYPE HA-HESI High Energy Spark Igniter operates as follows:

      • 1. A transformer steps up the voltage to 2500 Volts AC

      • 2. The circuit is rectified to DC

      3. A capacitor is charged and then discharged through a sealed gap and a special semi-conductor tip

    LOCATION:
The most efficient location for the Faber TYPE HA-HESI High Energy Spark Igniter probe tip is in the outer edge of the spray. It may reach this spray either through a hole in the diffuser or around the diffuser cone. When ignition takes place the tip must be retracted from the high temperature zone.
